John G. Fraser, B.D.S., M.D.S., F.R.C.D.(C )

Dr. Fraser was born and grew up in New Zealand. He attended the University of Otago in New Zealand graduating as a Dentist in 1968, and completing a Masters Degree (with Honours) in Dentistry in 1972. He immigrated to Canada in 1973 to join the Dental Faculty at the University of British Columbia (UBC) as an Assistant Professor. From 1975 1977 he attended the University of Oregon Health Sciences Centre Dental Faculty, graduating in 1977 with a specialty qualification in Endodontics. He returned to UBC and was Head of the Endodontic Teaching Program until 1981.
Dr. Fraser became a Certified Specialist in Endodontics in British Columbia in 1977. He is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada (1981) and a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics (1981). He is a Past President of the College of Dental Surgeons of British Columbia, Past President of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada, and he has been a Governor of the Canadian Dental Association.
Dr. Fraser has been in private practice as an Endodontic Specialist in Vancouver since 1977. Memberships include:

Dr. Fraser has been very active in continuing dental education and has given numerous lectures both in Canada and internationally over the past 25 years. He has been a guest lecturer annually at the University of Oregon Health Sciences Centre Graduate Endodontic Program for over 20 years.
Dr. Fraser and his wife Cecelia live in Vancouver and have 3 adult children and 1 fantastic little grandson. He is a keen fisherman, golfer and skier.
