Alex McLean BSc (Eng), DMD, Dip Endo, FRCD(C)

Dr. McLean was born in Port Alberni B.C. in 1948 and grew up in north eastern Ontario. He graduated from Queens University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering (with honours) in 1971 and worked for 4 years in the Pulp and Paper industry in Mackenzie B.C. before heading to dental school. He graduated from the University of British Columbia in Dentistry in 1980. Dr. McLean practiced as a general dentist in Kamloops British Columbia until 2001. From 2001 to 2003 he attended Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale Florida where he obtained specialty training in Endodontics.
Dr. McLean became certified in British Columbia as a specialist in Endodontics and as a fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada in 2003. Dr. McLean is practice as a specialist in endodontics both in Vancouver and in Kamloops B.C. His memberships include:

- The Canadian Academy of Endodontics
- The Canadian Dental Association
- The Royal College of Dentists of Canada
- The American Association of Endodontists
Dr. McLean has a continuing involvement in endodontic research thru Nova Southeastern University and is the president elect of the Thompson Okanagan Dental Society.
Dr. McLean lives in Kamloops with his wife of 32 years where they have 4 grown children but no grandkids yet. His spends his spare time puttering in his shop on a couple of old Japanese motorcycles, which he is slowly rebuilding.
